Tour Itinerary
Day 2: Mt. of Beatitudes - Capernaum - Sea of Galilee
- Ascend the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount.
- Visit the Church of the Multiplication at Tabgha, site of the Miracle of the Fishes and Loaves took place.
- Travel to Capernaum, home of many disciples and pray in the Synagogue where Jesus prayed.
- Enjoy a St. Peter’s Fish Lunch at the Sar-El Restaurant on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.
- Sail on the Sea of Galilee, recreating Jesus’s lake crossings.
- At Kibbutz Ginosar, view the ancient wooden boat retrieved from the bottom of the lake after over 2000 years.
- Renew your faith at the Baptismal Site where the River Jordan leaves the Sea of Galilee.
Day 3: Qumran - Dead Sea - Masada
- Drive south along the historic Jordan River, passing by the oldest city in the world, Jericho
- The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls confirmed the accuracy of the scriptures; at Qumran see the caves where the scrolls were hidden for centuries.
- Boarding a cable car, ascend the mountain top fortress and Herodian palace of Masada, site of the last Jewish resistance against the Romans.
- At the lowest point on earth, swim (or float) in the salty waters of the Dead Sea.
- Arrive in the Holy City of Jerusalem
Day 4: Mt. of Olives - Palm Sunday Road - Mt. Zion
- Visit the Mt. of Olives, where Jesus spent his last hours
- Walk down the Palm Sunday Path stopping at Dominus Flevit and ending at the Garden of Gethsemane
- Travel to Mt. Zion to visit the house of Caiaphas, the High Priest during Jesus’ day
- End at the Upper Room, site of the Last Supper
Day 5: Old City
- Visit the magnificent and historic Temple Mount.
- Follow the path of Jesus along the Via Dolorosa, the Way of the Cross.
- Pause for worship and song at St. Anne’s Church and the Pools of Bethesda.
- Continue to Ecce Homo, where Pontius Pilate gave Jesus to the crowds to be judged.
- Walk through the alleyways of the Old City, and through the covered bazaar.
- End this special day with reflection and communion at the Garden Tomb.
Day 6: New City - Bethlehem
- Yad Vashem, “A Name and a Place” is Israel’s Holocaust Museum, dedicated to preserving the memory of the six million souls.
- Jerusalem’s beautiful Israel Museum houses the Dead Sea Scrolls and an impressive and historically accurate model of the city of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus.
- Travel to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, to see the Church of Nativity and Manger Square.
- End the day at Shepherd’s Field, where the shepherds first heard the tidings of the coming of the Messiah.
Day 7: Departure
- Return home, imbued with a renewed sense of faith.
