Tour Itinerary
Day 2: Nazareth – Cana – Mount Tabor
- Visit the Church of Annunciation in Nazareth, where Jesus grew up as a child. This church is believed to be the house of Mary, Jesus’s mother, when she was informed about her imminent birth
- Continue to Cana, for Mass and Renewal of Vows at the Wedding Church
- Mount Tabor, rising above the Jezreel Valley, is the traditional site of the Transfiguration of Jesus. In the New Testament Gospels, this is where Jesus revealed his divine glory and conversed with Moses and Elijah
- Dinner and overnight at our Galilee hotel
Day 3: Mt. of Beatitudes – Capernaum – Sea of Galilee
- Visit Capernaum, Jesus' second home and, from where He chose his disciples Peter, Andrew, and performed many of his miracles
- Celebrate Mass at Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered His Sermon on the Mount
- Tour the ancient fishing village of Magdala, home of St Mary Magdalene
- Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee
- Dinner and overnight at our Galilee hotel
Day 4: Qumran – Masada – Dead Sea
- Travel south along the Jordan River, driving by Jericho, and a view of the Mount of Temptation
- Visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls, hidden for centuries in the caves nearby, were found by a shepherd boy
- Ascend the mountaintop fortress of Masada, where the last Judean rebels held out against the might of the Roman army
- Swim (or float) in the salty waters of the Dead Sea, the saltiest body of water, and the lowest, on earth
- Arrive in Jerusalem for a panoramic view of the city from Mt. Scopus, before checking in to our hotel
- Dinner and overnight at Jerusalem Hotel
Day 5: Bethlehem – Shepherd’s Field – Ein Kerem
- Visit Bethlehem and celebrate Mass at the Church of the Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus Christ
- Continue to the Shepherd’s Fields, where the angels announced the birth of Jesus
- Travel to Ein Kerem to see the Churches of St. John the Baptist and the Visitation, commemorating the biblical journey of the Virgin Mary to visit her cousin St. Elizabeth At this site Mary recited the Magnificat.
- Dinner and overnight at Jerusalem Hotel
Day 6: Mt. of Olives – Via Dolorosa
- Begin this very special day at the Mount of Olives, visiting the Church of Ascension and Pater Noster, where Jesus taught His Disciples the Lord’s Prayer
- Walk down past the Chapel of Dominus Flevit and to the Garden of Gethsemane
- Enter the Old City and proceed along the Via Dolorosa to the the Pools of Bethesda and the Church of St. Anne, where we will celebrate Mass
- Continue to the Chapel of Flagellation and from there to the Holy Sepulcher, Christianity’s most sacred site
- Dinner and overnight at Jerusalem Hotel
Day 7: Mt. Zion - Departure
- At Mt. Zion visit the Tomb of King David and the Cenacle, also known as the Upper Room, revered as the birthplace of the Church
- Nearby is Church of St. Peter Gallicantu, site of Peter’s triple denial of Jesus
- On to Dormition Abbey, commemorating the spot where the Virgin Mary is believed to have "fallen asleep" before her Assumption
- As we end our pilgrimage, we return home, imbued with a renewed sense of faith
