March of the Living

On Holocaust Remembrance Day one of our Sar-El groups made the journey to the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland to join the March of the Living. The International March of the Living is a 3 kilometer walk from Auschwitz to Birkenau and takes places each year on Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) as a tribute to all the victims of the Holocaust.

Our group marched proudly holding a large Israeli flag together with hundreds more including the President of Israel, the Chiefs of the IDF and Israeli police and many other Israeli members of state, while overhead the Israeli Air force flew. It was a statement, a message to the world and all those who wish Israel harm: “Never Again!”

It was beautiful to see Christians and friends of Israel from all over the world coming to stand in solidarity with the Jewish people declaring with us “Never Again”. Many people came to thank the group for being there to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Jewish people. Truly unforgettable and a message that the world needs to continue to hear and to share.

Today by the grace of God, Israel exists and thrives once more. It is the home of the Jewish people, the land of our forefathers, our safe haven. In a world where anti-Semitism/anti-Zionism still remain it is essential that we speak the truth louder still. As the last survivors of the Holocaust grow fewer each year, we must pass on the truth for the next generation to hear. Yes, these atrocities happened and yes, we must educate the young so that this never happens again. And yes, Israel is the Biblical homeland of the Jewish people that God established and He has called us home!
