Day 2 – Up the coast to the Galilee

We will visit the ancient Herodian port of Caesarea, the 2,000-year-old theater, ruins, and remains of the port where Paul sailed off to Rome on his last missionary journey. We are then off to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah battled the Gods of Baal and where we will see an overall view of the Valley of Armageddon. At the fortress city of Megiddo, you will explore nearly 25 levels of ancient civilization as you walk through its ruins and witness its strategic significance. The beautiful mosaics of Zippori are a must – a city that prospered during the time of Christ. As we end the day, we will drive through Jesus’ childhood home of Nazareth and Cana, where, at the wedding, Christ performs His first miracle. We then proceed to our hotel by the Sea of Galilee for dinner and rest.

Day 3 – In the Footsteps of Jesus in the Galilee

Begin the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. We will be able to see for ourselves the famous remains of the 2,000-year-old fishing boat from the period of Christ. At the ruins of Capernaum, we will visit “His own Town”, the home base of Christ’s Galilean Ministry, and where many of His miracles were performed. Then up to the Mount of Beatitudes where the ”Sermon on the Mount” was first delivered. We will visit the newly explored site of Magdala, the home of Mary Magdalene, and return to our hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 4 – The Northern Reaches of the Promised Land

From the epic Arbel Summit, we will gain an overview of Christ’s Galilean Ministry. We will travel north to the strategic Golan Heights, visit Banias (Caesarea Phillipi, where the Lord asked His disciples the famous question, “Who do you say that I am?”) and explore Tel Dan, featuring Jeroboam’s biblical altar before returning to our hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 5 – Come, Let Us Go Up to Jerusalem

Today, you will have an opportunity to be baptized at the Jordan River. We will visit the biblical city of Beit She’an and learn about the events surrounding the death of King Saul and his sons. At the springs of En Harod we will talk about Gideon and his 300 warriors, and then continue south through the Jordan Valley to Jericho and ascend the ancient pilgrim road to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 6 – In the Footsteps of Jesus-the Holy City

Today we start on the Mount of Olives with its panoramic view of the walled city of Jerusalem and walk down the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane for prayer and meditation. Entering the Old City we will walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Pool of Bethesda, Ecce Homo, Temple Mount, Western Wall, and the excavated Southern Steps, ending our day with worship and communion at the Garden Tomb. Return to our Jerusalem hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 7 – Jerusalem of Today, Bethlehem of Yesterday

At the Israel Museum, we will study the famous model of the Second Temple Jerusalem during the times of Jesus, and visit the Shrine of the Book where some of the Dead Sea scrolls are on display.
