14:00 (Israel Time) 23.10.2023, Ongoing Travel Report From Israel
"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."
(Psalm 23).
Dear friends and travel partners.
When David wrote the above words as recorded in Psalm 23, it was long before he became the king of Israel, and while his circumstances were still dark and dire. Taking refuge in a wilderness cave while enduring rough conditions to escape Saul's persecution, David's heart nevertheless was moved with faith, hope and trust in the God of his fathers, and his 23rd Psalm became a global confession of faith for many who's path lead them through difficult times. This is our own confession these days as well, as we adjust to the new reality that was thrust upon us overnight.
